Happy ELEVENTH b-day, Jake

A day late, but we were too busy partying to wish you a Happy B=day on here yesterday. Eleven years ago, six-thirty a.m. you came to us, with a head full of black hair and a loud cry, letting us know you had arrived. Ever since then, you have changed my life and your dad's life forever for the better.
I love that you are dependable, like most oldest kids are, and help out with your younger brothers and sister even when you don't feel like it. You have the same, dry, sense of humor like your dad and Papa Alan. That is why I think you three get along so well. Being a left-hander, I think you are very creative and love to build things and use your creativity- This year, you really LOVED baseball and are really great at hitting and playing shortstop.

You are kind and loving- you LOVE animals- remember your second birthday: we RENTED a PONY named AMIGO, who ate everything under the stars, like your own cake? I love your laugh and smile. Yes, you are stubborn and strong headed, but that trait I think will take you places as you get older. You are a great friend, brother and son.
