St. Thomas- bring on 2011 !!!

When my mom told us we were going to St. Thomas nine months ago, time seemed so far away and the thought of leaving the kids for 8 days really gave me anxiety. But all in all, things went well with the kids, and I realized how long it had been since Chad and I had some time as a couple that in the end, we really needed. Of course, by day 6 I had a meltdown missing the kids, but I am so glad we went and have these memories: On our way to St. Thomas, Der spotted one of his favorite NBA players: Isiah Thomas and asked him many interesting questions- love you, D.

This was our pool at our villa- thanks to mom (and dad) for providing the place for all of us:)

Dinner out on the first night- we were a bit jet lagged but excited to see the island.

Der and I were excited when we found a local gym, but Derek found this crazy sign justoutside of the gym that said "Trust the thin man, Food Good." Funny.

Ahh- Little relaxation by the beautiful beaches were some of the best moments...

Derek and Doug were hilarious together- it was so fun to hear them interact since Der hadn't been in the ocean for seriously a decade- he hates salt water, but went in with Doug and we laughed and laughed at these two...love my brothers.

Then we swam out together to this "island" and I was terrified of the sea life below, but we did it and again, we laughed...

And you cannot beat the sunsets here- Gorgeous!

My mom had me do some "yoga poses" by the sunset because it would be so neat to have that as the background, which i have to admit did turn out pretty cool, except she kept having me do it over and over to her liking...namaste

And here she is...loving the beach, in her element, saying how "free" she is. and shelooks pretty happy that patrish. Just only wishing Danny would join us.

And the random frogs that we'd find in our car about gave Ang a heart attack. Der saved it's life though. "Poor little Daddy."

The boys were so excited for our snorkleing excursions to the British Islands:

This beauty house only 28 million- just a drop in the bucket....anyone?

New Years Eve we went to dinner, played some games, but hit the sack before midnight- I think our boat ride and derek's random questions wore us all out:)

My mom loved this shirt and hence the picture for the memories:) Mama

We loved the local creamery but I swear, where were all the cows on this island?

My honey got frustrated with all my pictures!

Happy New Years Everyone!!! Love Peace Happiness and Health to all.

We went over to the Marriott to get some dessert and saw some incredible views

AHHHH we needed a little reminder of why we fell in love...does anyone else?

Then we went again to the British Virgin Islands of Virgin Gorda and Gordon island, which was my favorite.

The Baths- Virgin Gorda So Dang Pretty!!!

Then we went to Iggy's and it was one of the funniest nights of our lives- Derek did Karaoke and I swear, we were peeing our pants. He just ran up there and belted out a U2 song with all his heart and soul! It was a night to never forget and I will post a video of it soon.

Yeah for D man- he is the best guy we know- sing it baby One final burger before we head to the airport- how was your trip, honey? Picture says it all:)

But we are glad to be back to our babies safe and sound- when I woke each one up and kissed them like crazy with a new sense of appreciation for everyone and everything in my life...Here is to 2011~
