Merry Christmas! Lots of excitement around here- although it was a long week waiting for the BIG day, being out of school routine, waking up early due to excitement, etc., the kids and I did get out and spend time in the day together...
I love this pic below: Jonah wrote a letter to the Big Man- "Dear Santa, thank you for coming here and here are some carrots for the reindeer and cookies for you. Hope we have enough. Thanks, Jonah" and the rest of the kids signed their name...too cute.

And, the big day is finally here as the kids woke up extremely early this year...yahoo

On Christmas Eve, we always go to the Jones's and have a huge, yummy, festive, dinner with the entire family, sing songs, do the nativity scene and open gifts. Thanks to mom and dad for all you do for our family! We love these traditions!

Jo and Dillon-

Jake and Cody

Getting ready for our traditional nativity scene:

And the audience awaits- daddy loves his baby boy...

Daddy was feeling sad since most of us were about to leave for our St. Thomas trip- so he needed a little extra love. Wish you'd join us, dad, but you are too dedicated!

Then, the big morning comes and Jonah is always our earliest riser! How good have you all been?

I guess pretty dang good!

Ash asked for a Cotton Candy maker this year from Santa- and by golly, she got it. Santa is pretty amazing. And I sure hate that cotton candy maker for it is super MESSY

Jo and Jake got Mountain bikes from mom and dad...too bad it's winter!

and little A is so happy just with the wrapping paper- I love this age. Can I just freeze this moment? AHHH so innocent.
The BEST present was a note from Jake saying we were the best parents; you know, the kind your parents wanted as a kid and you'd roll your eyes, but now that I get them, how they mean the world...

Jake's a pretty good artist- he went to a lot of trouble making me some art and I love it

Yep, the kiddos were quite spoiled this year, but I have to say. As parents, we reminded them of the true meaning of Christmas and hope they realize how blessed we are. Hoping they will give back and grow up with a sense of self-worth, kindness, hard-working, all those qualities you hope for in yourselves and in your children. But they teach us so much as well.
