Sweet Baby Boy- Happy First Birthday

August 17, 2009 Alex came into our world. For the first few months, all I did was hold him. Chad says this is for sure our last baby, so with that in mind, I savored the precious moments of holding him. Alex immediately had a sweet demenor that influenced our home- his siblings fell in love with him as did his dad. Here are some highlights of this past year he came to us:Alex was a great newborn- he had some reflux, but after that was taken care of with some meds, he was very content...

He immediately switched fromt the binkey to his thumb- he is a MAJOR thumb sucker.

He was such a beautiful baby, I think he is a mix of all our kids

After about four months, Alex started getting ear infections that NEVER WENT AWAY. The poor kid was on every antibiotic for six months. He even had the shots of strong antibiotics, which didn't even work. Finally, the doctors were convinced he needed tubes. Thank goodness for tubes- Even though he continued to get sick with some strange viruses, the last few months have been incredible having a healthy boy- He is a still stranger weary, but getting better.

Look at that smile- Alex is so fun. He laughs at his brothers and sister. Not just laughs, he full on giggles at with them. Chad thinks we are in for it- he is going to be the class clown.

Alex cuddles, we love how he gives kisses and hugs. He says "mama, dada, nana" and tries to say "dog, Elmo". What is it about Elmo that kids love? All of mine, especially Jonah, has been obsessed with Elmo. Drives me nuts.

This kid is an eater- He can pound the food. It's a toss up between Jake and Alex who can put it away. Thank goodness for boys.

Happy First b-day Alex. Although I will be out of town on your b-day, we will celebrate BIG time next weekend. I really want to rent a pony, since Alex LOVES animals. He does this funny barking sound with horses and doggies, so I want to rent a pony, but we will see. Maybe we'll just head to the farm instead.
