Who's that in the garbage?

What is that in our garbage? Is it a rat? No! It is our one and only "Dottie Diane" who is sooo big now that she can tower over the kitchen countertops and grab anything in sight! Did Ashley really eat ALL her dinner!??? I don't think so! Most likely it was Dottie...

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR!

wow! Talk about packing it all in! This is a week worth of blogging in 2 days.
Recap: I have had family parties (2 or 3 in one day where Santa came to visit so see pics below), sledding, gingerbread making at Jake's school, The Polar Express with Rogers' family, Jonah's 5th b-day party, Best Friends' parties (where the white elephants are one in a million), and OH YEAH, WE CAUGHT OUR RAT, WHICH CHAD HAD TO SHOW ME

Mostly, I love this time of year except for: grumpy people honking while driving on their cells, getting your parking place taken, crowded malls with crying kids (mainly mine)

But as I look through these pictures, all the great memories of what this year is about comes flooding back to me and I realize that Christmas really is that time of year to spend with the ones you love! So HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
Still handsome at 30!!! Look at those rockin' bods!!!

How cute are my family and friends????

Say cheese to "the fake" Santa (as Jake puts it)

Aunt Mimi loves to come and ride the Polar Express with all her crazy nephews. ANd Papa Alan is feeling better most days and spends a lot of time with his grandkids. Thanks to Nana Marsha who had a great early Christmas Party!

ALL ABOARD!

If you haven't heard about it, you need to go! There is this family that has a train they run for FREE and you watch the Polar Express on a big screen. Then you board their "train" that runs about 8 minutes around their house with music and you stop at the "North Pole" where Santa and his elves are waiting for you. We had so much fun and it left us all in the Christmas spirit.
I am blogging so much today because we have done way too many things in the past week so check it all out:

Gingerbread Fun

So thanks to Aunt Angie watching my other two, I was able to help out at Jake's school and help all the kids do their gingerbread houses. I think I had more fun than the kids! But Jake was very precise in doing his house and had a great time doing it. I even got to see the girl he has a crush on even though he says "she dumped me, Mom." How do they do that at this age???

Santa- I really am a good girl!

So Santa came early to the Roger's side this year. What a good Santa. Ash did not want anything to do with him. But the boyz loved him. Jake couldn't remember what he wanted for Christmas though because he was so nervous. We had so much fun watching all the kids' faces as Santa and his elf came in for a little suprise!

Happy B-day Jonah!

My Jonah just turned the big 5~~~Jonah was due on Christmas day but thank goodness for his sake the doc did not want to come in and so induced me early. He is sooo excited to be 5 because that is "big". Jonah is our happy boy who makes everyone laugh. He has a contagious smile and is way too nice to his sis, Ashley. He even gave her one of his b-day gifts. WE LOVE YOU JONAH!

Snow Dayz

"Are we in Utah, Mom?" Yep, this is Utah weather but my kids are loungin' around thinking we are hanging by the beach. Look at those faces! Life doesn't get better than this.

Who sleds in the dark?

So, I know i am the only one crazy enough to take kids sledding in the dark, but hey! It is dark by 5:00 and tis the season! Do you think there was enough snow? The kids did.

Jacob, Jonah and Ash had a great time sledding with the kids i take care of once a week sledding and swinging in the dark. Despite the amount of snow, and the amount of light, we had a rockin' time! Get out there and sled!

Here's the RC Willey DEAL!

So remember all my gripes about the RC Willey couch and how they could NOT GET IT right? Here it is...the one and only leather sectional and with it was a Christmas Card attached from our salesman telling us to "enjoy our new leather sectional." Just beautiful.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I just have to say that I am so happy we have so much snow right now! My kids are loving it and so am I. We went sledding (in the dark at 5:30 PM) and attempted to make a snowman. We are even going to try skiing over the holidays. (Oh boy, good luck) So let it snow! I know I won't be saying this in January but for right now, we are having fun!

Family dinner

WE had a dinner with my side of the family. The Jones side is a little of "mine, his and Hers" but we all get along and have so much fun together.

My sister, Ondy, has battled Breast Cancer this past year and has been through a lot with chemo and everything. But she is doing great, looks great and even has her great hair back! (She is the one sitting next to Angie, Chad and Ash up top.) I love her and admire her so much. I love this time of year to eat, laugh and be together with fam and friends. See, this is a happier blog today!

What Next?

I am sitting comfortably on my new leather sectional (one solid color) thanks to a little butt kicking over at RC Willey.

Ater calling my mom, who knows RC Willey's CEO, he called me on my cell within minutes and had my couch delivered to me ASAP. Isn't it who you know??? (Or whatever that saying is)

Well, I was so ecsatatic about the great news that I was driving home in the very dark, barren back road to receive my new, long awaited couch when a BLACK DOG darted out infront of my car chasing something so fast that i did not have time to stop. I of course slammed on my brakes and heard a yelp. I was shaking...crying...what did i just hit????

I heard yelling from a house and I didn't want to move my car in fear of running the dog over again or not knowing where it was. I also was sooo scared to see what had happened to it.

Finally, I got out of the car and the owner had witnessed this whole event knowing his dog was chasing something out in the street and grabbed his dog with a towel, took it to the hosptial and thankfully, it is not dead. (At this time, my phone rings and RC willey delivery is asking where the heck i am because they are at my home waiting for me since i wanted my couch asap)

"I just hit a dog! I will be there in a minute!!!" They could care less. THey told me they'd leave if i wasn't there soon. So i panic with crying kids in the car and a hurt dog, telling the owners I would do anything i could to help and cried my way home to meet my favorite people: THe RC Willey Deliverymen. What is going on???? AM I Jinxed??? At least it wasn't a BLACK CAT.

3 strikes and you are out!

Don't go to RC Willey EVER! Another one of my venting blogs i guess. Chad and I ordered a leather sectional a week and a half ago. We waited last Tuesday from those time frames they give you (like a four hour period of time as if we have all day) and waited and waited. No couch. We called. They said they took it to what was our PREVIOUS HOME. "Oh, we can't deliver this couch until next week." They say. Okay!!! Well, come Saturday and they say they are to deliver in the morning (again some four hour period) and we wait and wait....

The couch finally comes but in two different colors. "What? This is the wrong color they say." "Obviously. When can we get the right couch?", Chad barks. "Maybe next week." RC guys say.

"That is not good enough!" My hubby yells. (This is the one time i see him somewhat ticked)
So RC willey agrees to come "later" that night with the RIGHT couch.

Oh, I wait and wait all night. Finally at 8:00 p.m. my couch comes. Wait!!! NOOOOOOOO!!! It is the WRONG couch again!!!!!!! I am on the phone all night with customer service and Chad is at INSTA CARE TESTING POSITIVE FOR STREP THROAT...

Today is monday and we have a sectional leather sofa, oh yes we do, but is it two different colors? Oh yes. THAT IS MY WEEKEND FOR YOU.

By the way, the rat ate through our other garage's electrical lining and our garage doesn't open.

what do we want for Christmas? Just some sanity!!! Until next time....
